Q. I’ve never ridden off-road before. Can I still join?
A: Absolutely! Many of our guests are total beginners. We tailor each ride to suit your experience, and our instructors are there to guide and encourage you.
Q. What gear do you provide?
A: We provide everything you need: helmet, boots, gloves, body armour, and riding clothing. Just bring socks and your usual travel essentials.
Q. I don’t have a motorcycle licence – can I still ride?
A: Yes, if you're riding a 125cc bike and have a valid car licence, you can join us under local laws. You’ll still need to feel confident handling a motorcycle—see the next question if you're unsure.
Q. I’ve never ridden a manual (geared) motorcycle—can I still come?
A: Yes, but you'll need to book a training package for your first day. This ensures you learn the basics in a safe and structured way before hitting the trails.
Q. Are the bikes beginner-friendly?
A: Definitely. We have a range of bikes suited for different heights and experience levels. They're lightweight, well-maintained, and easy to ride.
Q. I’m short—can you lower the bike for me?
A: We can! Many of our bikes can be lowered, and we’ll work with you to ensure a comfortable and confident fit.
Q. What if I drop the bike?
A: It’s part of learning! Our bikes are built for off-road use and can take a few knocks. We’ll help you pick it up and get going again—no judgement here.
Q. How difficult are the routes?
A: We adjust every route to match the group’s ability. Beginner routes are scenic, wide, and non-technical, with plenty of time to learn as you ride.
Q. Will I hold the group back?
A: Not at all. We often ride in ability groups, and our guides are patient, helpful, and focused on making the ride enjoyable for everyone.
Q. Is there training before we start?
A: Yes—every day starts with a briefing and a warm-up ride to build confidence. If you’ve booked a training package, you’ll get a full introduction to the bike and riding techniques.
Q. What happens if I get tired?
A: We plan regular breaks, including our legendary cake stops! Riding off-road is surprisingly physical, so pacing and snacks are part of the plan.
Q. How fit do I need to be?
A: Just reasonably fit. If you can manage a light workout or a day hike, you’ll be fine. We ride to your pace, and you’re welcome to take breaks whenever you need.
Q. What should I bring with me?
A: Comfortable socks, a refillable water bottle, your driving licence, and a change of clothes for after the ride. That’s about it—we handle the rest.
Q. Is off-road riding safe for beginners?
A: With the right kit, bike setup, and guides—it’s very safe. We ride on designated trails with support vehicles and experienced riders always close by.
